Hello A review for Tails of success “,
I’m not the best at spelling or grammar but what I have to say is heart felt.
If it wasn’t for Karen responding to a message I sent her asking for help “ with my dog” I would still be too scared to go out with my dog a year on.
As we know Karen loves dogs and will tell you how it is ! But she realised I was not in a good place , I had NO confidence with my puppy (36 kg) and during Covid he now had not been socialised which was my problem and not his. And She told me that.
“ YOU MY LADY HAVE GOT THIS , COME ON,and we left the house . I will never forget that day. I was shaking from head to toe, it didn’t go great as we met other dogs , so confrontational situations occurred which Karen talked me through even when I was offering her the lead and backing up to walls and panicking.
My husband and I then started evening classes where I watched only to start with until I was more confident to take my dogs lead .
I’m now doing 1-2-1 & 1-3 classes . I confidently walk my dog daily without a second thought as any loving ,confident dog owner would. I put every bit of this achievement down to Karen initially and then Karen and Tina in class and now back to Karen.
I’ve learnt to enjoy every walk with my dog which is why I got him and not rush from A to B, I talk to him on every walk and praise him for good behaviour and not dwell on small things .
Yes Covid was in 1 way a contributory factor to isolating but also due to me working from home we thought it was a perfect time after talking about getting a dog for 2 years , so even the best planning in the world can go pear shaped .
I hear Tails of success are talking about a group for people to socialise, what a great idea. You really are a thoughtful family and I’m pleased to be a part of it . A MASSIVE THANK YOU KAREN,TINA & JIM.
