Ruby

Here’s my story for joining…

Let me start by saying I am not a dog person! However we had promised my son a dog when he was old enough so the time had come to take on the challenge. Having never had a dog I was extremely nervous of this commitment and knew a puppy training class would be essential for us both!

Tails of Success was recommended on Facebook posts and I’m so pleased I joined the Tails family. From my first phone call to Karen she put me at ease and took the time to listen to all my worries, offer advice, and an open line to her if I had any questions…this was even before I’d enrolled into any classes.   My cheeky black Labrador puppy Ruby was a bit of a handful, but Karen and Tina were so patient with us, always offered encouragement and support, and most importantly we had lots of laughs together.  We have worked hard on her recall, and most of the time Ruby is very good, but if she sees Karen from across a field there’s no stopping her

As I said at the start, I am not a dog person, I only intended to do puppy classes…well nearly a year into having Ruby I have done puppy, junior and now enjoying advanced classes and scent training.  We also go along to any of the other fun classes that we can possibly get to. I never expected to enjoy owning a dog in the way I do now. I contribute a lot of that down to Tails as they have taught me how to build a bond with Ruby through the classes.  I can’t recommend them highly enough.
